Liz E. Slonena, PsyD, HSP-P, MSCP, is a licensed psychologist, consultant, and sought-after speaker based in Asheville, North Carolina. Dr. Liz is the founder of Mindful Hypnosis Counseling & Consulting PLLC and co-creator of Mindful Hypnosis, an innovative approach that blends mindfulness and hypnosis for rapid stress reduction. Her specialties include adult ADHD, perfectionism, burnout, endometriosis, and complex PTSD.

After facing chronic health challenges as a teenager, Dr. Liz discovered meditation as a transformative path to health and harmony. With over 20 years of practicing and leading meditations, she combines her lived experience with clinical expertise to create a compassionate, evidence-based approach to care.

Dr. Liz earned her Doctor of Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Baylor University. With over a decade of clinical research experience and more than a dozen publications, Dr. Liz has contributed to groundbreaking studies, including research at the National Institute of Mental Health on ketamine treatments for severe depression.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Liz fosters the next generation of clinical hypnotherapists through mentorship and education with multiple leadership roles within the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis (SCEH). With a growing social media presence (@Dr.LizListens), Dr. Liz demystifies hypnosis and shares practical mind-body medicine skills with a global audience.
